This was so much better than crunchy granola cringe, it was REAL. I love it. And being a mom and finding yourself is where I’m at as well. 😁

The Artist’s Way. I know I’m jumping into this post with no context. But what is that?

LOL thank you Gabby. It’s a book by Julia Cameron! I had been hearing about it on and off for years and may or may not have gone down a YouTube rabbit hole at one point, and many people found it really helpful in getting in touch with their creative selves which I struggle with (as you mentioned, being a mom only exacerbates), so I’ve been giving it a try.

I loved this so much!! The honesty! The realness. I think we can get so cynical about these 'healing' eras, glow ups, rebrands etc...but they can really just be an earnest pivot towards a different direction that we needed. I'm here with you!!

Wow thank you friend 🤗 It’s exactly that. Feeling cynical about it and impostor syndrome kicking in. I always have to remind myself that no one is paying attention to what I’m wanting to change more than myself

OMG, this cracked me up 👉🏽 "No one is coming to pay my bills, lift these booty cheeks, or turn the clock back." I was today year's old when I realized I want someone to lift MY booty cheeks! 🤣 Also, I used to be a military recruiter and joined a civilian recruiter networking group. The biggest pet peeve they had was people thinking they had to have all the requirements in order to apply for a job. They actually never find a perfect candidate and the requirements are like a wish list! So good on you for applying for that job - I hope you get a call back!

Ugh you’re so right! I know that I should just apply and go for it, so I am! Like why not, right? I’m hoping so too, thank you Sandra 🙏🏼

the social media management part jumped at me and i recalled those days i dreaded being one: Because i had to grow followers with certain tools back then. It stressed me out.

To be honest, I’m leaning more into copywriting and even many of those want experience with being a SMM, which I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just want to dip my toes in and get out of the swamp I’m in now

love copywriting as well. Haven’t just gotten the opportunities to practice here in canada yet.

i almost landed a role back in 2021 with motiversity which would have been a dream job because i once ran a media company just like theirs but i never made it past the second round interview.

and yes, i agree having SMM skills is an added advantage.
